The QTI Group, in partnership with our client, Pro Metal Works, Inc is recruiting a Quality Manager ahead of an upcoming retirement.

Summary:
Pro Metal Works, LLC is a privately held contract manufacturer of quality sheet metal parts and components in a 72,000 sq ft state of the art facility located in De Forest, WI

Reporting to the V.P. of Manufacturing, the Quality Manager is responsible for the planning and implementation of the Quality Management System to ensure products and services consistently meet or exceed customer requirements and enhance their satisfaction. The Quality Management System (QMS) drives a culture of continuous improvement and is aligned with the organization’s purpose and strategic direction.

Principal Accountabilities include:
  • Maintain and continually improve a documented, customer compliant quality system, based on best practices of ISO 9001:2015
  • Building morale through effective peer to peer relationships and being a positive resource for all employees
  • Overall responsibility for quality planning involving new product introduction (APQP) and revisions to existing products (ECN)
  • Generate Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and First Article (FAIR) documentation per customer requirements
  • Represent the company in a positive manner as primary point of customer contact
  • Direct the corrective action process using 8D Problem Solving techniques, ensuring a 360-degree process
  • Maintain a gauge calibration system that controls measuring equipment
  • Perform 1st piece, in-process and receiving inspection; perform audits of finished product

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • At least 5 years quality management experience in a (metals/ISO certified) manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with precision measuring equipment and tools
  • Outstanding ability and execution reviewing customer specifications and blueprints
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction with a “can-do” spirit
  • Fluidity in continual movement between shop floor and office environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred
