A local steel manufacturer is looking for a Project Lead to join their team and work with their Steel Drafting team to help with continued growth. The Project Lead’s role is to assist with the organization and management of the day-to-day operations.
This full-time position offers a 1st shift schedule, Monday-Friday from 6am-4pm. Pay starts at $23/hr. based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Review addendums, contract documents, RFIs, specifications, and related materials for updates and changes, ensuring the accuracy of assigned work.
- Create and maintain detailed and precise fabrication and field-use drawings.
- Submit and manage RFIs as required.
- Perform 3D modeling and detailing for miscellaneous steel projects.
- Utilize SDS/2 and CAD software; familiarity with these tools is a plus.
- Maintain job cost spreadsheets and track financial aspects of projects.
- Oversee purchase orders, change orders, submittals, RFIs, and proposals.
- Complete and organize project close-out documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a field related industry or 1 year of proven and successful experience in related field is required.
- Ideal experience with FabSuite or Tekla EPM.
- Strong understanding of project schedules and timelines.
- Background in structural steel is ideal.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft operating systems and related applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
