Summary:
Our client located in downtown Madison is looking for a sharp Insurance Office Assistant to join their team on a temporary to hire basis. In this role you will be responsible for processing claims and effectively communicating and corresponding with internal and external customers. Will process various types of claims and service requests. Excellent company culture.

This position operates Monday-Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. paying $20/hour based on experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Accurately adjudicate claims within stated service goals.
  • Follow established written processing procedures.
  • Verify proper forms are received according to state regulation.
  • Accurately enter and process while life, term life, universal life & interest sensitive, acquisition preneed, final expense, preneed.
  • Also trust claims including trust, funeral expense trust, estate planning trust.
  • Assist with preneed Texas including accurate reconciliation and file documentation verification.
  • Annuities.
  • Follow-up timely on all claims in writing within state regulated time frames.
  • Provide phone support for all claims related calls and letter correspondence.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma.
  • 2+ years of insurance office experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • General PC and office machine knowledge.
  • Typing of 45 words per minute.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
