Summary:
A steel fabricating facility just North of Madison is looking for an Estimator to join their team. In this position candidates would be responsible for evaluating bid specifications, requirements, and material take offs to prepare a complete estimate. This Direct Hire position offers pay starting at 55k along with a competitive benefits package and profit sharing. Hours would be Monday- Friday 6am – 4pm.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret job bid requirements, blueprints and specs to prepare estimates
- Prepare and all inclusive material take offs and identify labor and buy out items
- Prepare directive and request quotes for subcontractors and suppliers to compile accurate pricing
- Maintain consistent with other departments and suppliers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or 1 year of field experience
- Estimating experience and structural steel knowledge
- Experience using FabSuite and Tekla EPM
- Strong math skills and detail oriented
- Ability to work in a team environment and strong communication skills
