Summary:
We are seeking a results-oriented Direct Hire Commercial Lines Producer to drive the growth and retention of our commercial insurance business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, a passion for delivering exceptional client service, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with team members. This role requires regular travel within WI, IA, MN, MI and occasional visits to the agency office in Niagara, WI, or the home office in Newberry, MI. This position will operate Monday through Friday paying $50k+ commission.
We are seeking a results-oriented Direct Hire Commercial Lines Producer to drive the growth and retention of our commercial insurance business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, a passion for delivering exceptional client service, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with team members. This role requires regular travel within WI, IA, MN, MI and occasional visits to the agency office in Niagara, WI, or the home office in Newberry, MI. This position will operate Monday through Friday paying $50k+ commission.
Location: Remote (Must reside in Wisconsin or Minnesota)
Responsibilities:
- Retain and grow an existing book of business by conducting client visits, performing coverage reviews, negotiating with carriers, and re-marketing policies as needed.
- Collaborate with assigned customer service representatives to ensure seamless client service.
- Cross-sell and round out accounts with life insurance and other applicable commercial lines, referring opportunities to other departments when necessary.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory for commercial insurance, expanding the agency’s client base.
- Represent the agency at trade shows, annual conventions, company functions, and other industry events to build relationships and promote services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred but not required; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably within the insurance or commercial sector.
- Basic knowledge of industries such as logging, trucking, sawmill, pallet, and other wood product manufacturing is preferred.
- Must hold an active Property & Casualty (P&C) Producer License in Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, or Minnesota.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to learn and utilize additional software as needed.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, team members, and insurance carriers.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory and occasionally to agency offices.
