Summary:
We are looking for a skilled CNC Lathe Operator or Programmer with experience in programming, setup, and operation of CNC lathes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal manufacturing, the ability to read blueprints, and expertise in creating and optimizing CNC programs for efficient and precise machining. This Direct Hire opportunity offers competitive pay and a full benefits package!
  • Shift: 1st shift Monday-Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm plus Friday’s when in overtime
  • Pay: Up to $28/hr depending on experience
Responsibilities:
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes to produce high-quality metal parts according to specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
  • Develop and optimize CNC programs to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and minimal waste.
  • Utilize Fanuc controls to program and operate CNC lathes effectively.
  • Select appropriate tooling and make adjustments to maintain tight tolerances.
  • Perform first-piece inspections and ongoing quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues, make necessary adjustments, and perform routine maintenance.
Qualifications:
  • Machine Knowledge: Familiarity with various CNC lathe machines, tooling, and materials used in metal manufacturing.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong ability to work within tight tolerances and ensure quality production.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot machine and program issues efficiently.
  • Work Ethic: Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently or in a team environment.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of CNC lathe programming and operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in G-code programming, CAD/CAM software (such as Mastercam or Fusion 360), and blueprint reading.
  • Experience with programming and operating CNC lathes with Fanuc controls is preferred
