Summary
The QTI Group is excited to partner with a manufacturer to hire its next Controls Automation Engineer. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of control systems in the manufacturing process.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 7am – 3:30 pm
Compensation: $28 - $30 per hour depending on experience + bonus based on KPI achievement
Responsibilities include:
- Design, program and implement PLC-based control systems in various packaging equipment product lines
- Develop and maintain HMI interfaces
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to integrate control systems into machine designs
- Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues
- Building and machine wiring – 120/240/480 Volt systems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering preferred
- Proven experience in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI development
- Experience in automation; food plant experience is a plus
- Proven project management and machine design experience
