Summary:
Our client, located in Windsor, WI is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis! In this role, you will be responsible for managing supplier invoices, resolving discrepancies, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely payments.

Hours are full-time Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:15 p.m., and will operate fully onsite in Windsor, WI. Pay is $21/hour or more based on experience, and benefits are available when hired on.

Responsibilities:
  • Match supplier invoices to purchase orders and receipt documents, verifying accuracy.
  • Resolve discrepancies between packing slips, receipts, invoices, and pricing by working with purchasers, receivers, and suppliers.
  • Enter invoices to ensure payments are made within discount and net terms.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of payables.
  • Determine tax status for purchased products and manage tax exemption and resale certificates.
  • Participate in the accounts payable month-end close process and file records weekly.
  • Support reception duties as needed and perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree in Accounting or Business or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable including managing hundreds of general ledger accounts
  • Proficiency in operating calculators and computers using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and ensure task completion
  • Willingness to complete reference check and drug screen upon accepted offer
