The QTI Group is partnering with our Middleton-based client to hire a Technical Support Coordinator. This full-time role is critical in ensuring the technical service needs of customers are met by coordinating service requests and managing communication between customers, field technicians, and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
This temporary position is expected to start as soon as possible and run through 9/30/2025, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role. The schedule is 2nd shift, Monday–Thursday, 1pm – 12am, with a one-hour break.
Pay is $20/hour.
Responsibilities:
- Receive inbound calls from the service queue and provide status updates or direction as needed.
- Place outbound calls to field technicians or partners to gather service updates or provide instructions.
- Ensure field technicians' time onsite is utilized efficiently.
- Track and document progress of service requests and provide necessary support to the field team.
- Coordinate onsite logistics and confirm necessary equipment is available or shipped before scheduling service.
- Enter updates and close out service requests in customer databases per established standards.
- Follow up on overdue service requests or delayed technician arrivals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 1 year of education or experience in IT, particularly in LAN/WAN infrastructure, or equivalent industry experience.
- 2+ years in a similar service coordination or technical support role preferred.
- Experience with technician scheduling or onsite service coordination a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Professional, confident demeanor and strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen upon job offer.
