The QTI Group is partnering with a growing food packaging company specializing in cheese and related products to hire a Buyer for a full-time, on-site opportunity. This role plays a key part in managing procurement activities, maintaining inventory levels, and supporting production and maintenance departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for continuous improvement. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in supply chain and purchasing while working in a collaborative, food-focused environment.

This is a full-time, on-site position during standard business hours, Monday through Friday. Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods or to support urgent procurement needs.

Compensation starts at $55k/yr. based on experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily procurement activities, including purchase orders, order tracking, and supplier communications.
  • Monitor and adjust inventory levels to meet business needs and avoid overstock or shortages.
  • Assist with purchasing for both production and maintenance departments.
  • Support supplier sourcing and performance management in collaboration with the Procurement Manager.
  • Perform regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
  • Analyze procurement and inventory data to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with company policies and audits.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with departments including shipping & receiving, finance, and quality.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or inventory management.
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills.
  • Experience with ERP or MRP systems (WorkWise preferred).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt in a growing and fast-paced environment.
  • A love of cheese is a definite plus!
