Summary

The QTI Group is partnering with Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC), a Madison-based nonprofit, to recruit for a newly created Associate Director of Marketing.

Reporting to the VP of Communications & Marketing, this hands-on leader will develop and execute the marketing strategy for membership growth and retention, event promotions and other programming. The Associate Director will manage data used in all marketing efforts, protect WMC’s brand standards and innovate how WMC communicates with both members and non-members. The Associate Director will manage one staff member charged with email and digital marketing activities.

Location: Hybrid with a minimum of 3 days in-office (Madison, Wisconsin).

Responsibilities Include:
  • Meet with WMC business units to determine marketing needs, develop project timelines and strategies, and ensure department accountability.
  • Drive revenue for events and other programming to meet and exceed budgeted expectations.
  • Manage projects for Marketing & Events Coordinator
  • Update and protect WMC brand standards.
  • Work with team to manage WMC database for marketing purposes to ensure all campaigns are targeted to the appropriate audience.
  • Lead efforts to improve data accuracy for marketing efforts.
  • Write, edit, and approve content for marketing materials.
  • Edit and approve all digital marketing emails and other communications.
  • Work with team to extract and analyze marketing statistics and metrics to improve audience targeting.
  • Potential to plan and execute paid digital advertising campaigns, including content creation, audience targeting, and management of ad buy and placement.
  • Assist, as necessary, with event planning and execution.
  • Manage, as necessary, external partners including consultants and subcontractors.

Experience & Qualifications Desired:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations; equivalent experience will be considered
  • 4+ years of experience in marketing with a focus on digital platforms and data management, preferably in a political or public policy arena
  • Proven experience in strategic marketing with an emphasis on digital platforms, marketing analytics, and data management
  • Experience with digital ad campaigns, including geofencing, demographic targeting, and ad placement.
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and email marketing platforms like Constant Contact or MailChimp; experience with CRMs such as MC Trade by Personify is a plus.
  • A collaborative team player with strong project management and decision-making skills.
